The same old shit.Conform to this uniform or else.Do not even dare to be different.The music business with all of it's trials and tribulations is a fun industry..you can go onstage and smash the guts out of a les Paul and get a standing ovation,of course you must first KNOW HOW to properly smash the guts out of a LES Paul.It requires holding it in your hands for 18 hours a day for years so when you smash it's guts onstage you are hitting it in the right places so the guitar after the show does not have a scratch on it.In fact the guitar enjoys it,those big fat humbucking pickups were custom made to feedback. Yet the business side of it is more establishment than the establishment if you catch my drift.And it is what it is.In the US though we kind of do one very cool thing that nobody else does.We make brilliant mistakes and capture them.We are always open to accidental greatness."Out OF The Blue" we call it.The cool thing about the success of rock and roll bands is that every one of them does things in a different way.A separate business model if you will.It is always fun to strike up a friendship with the band playing in the club down the street.Visit eachother on breaks and sit in.Diss agents..."How about Harry kay Associates? Oh yes we booked with them for two years-a bunch of Assholes!"
