Donna, the new single, when can we hear the singing?

There are administrative details still being handled. The production is completed, copyrights filed yet the presentation is not ready.I still have got to do a version of the song in spanish.Possibly french also.Definitely spanish. At the same time the follow up is being arranged.Everything is brand new today. The music business world ...well the opportunities are there to really be heard in a different way. Most of you may not understand how much becuase you are used to things as they are and not how they were for indies. There was no internet, you built your fan base from your gigs. For most bands to cut a record of original material was not even spoken about. You got an agent and hit the road.Played every thinkable situation again and again, you traveled 500 miles to be booked into the wrong room (maybe a bah-mitzvah) and had to come through it somehow.Booked into a college cafeteria to play for five people for 2 hours and get paid 17 hundred bucks for it!The thing about it was to play and play and play to consider every show a rehearsal for the big time. You get booked into the right room and perform to nothing short of a riot. The band has been out doing one-nighters for 8 months in America and you are really tight. And you let them have it right in the gut.It is called "Blowing the roof off of the joint." Plus you are very young and have the world by the tail. All in the hopes of one day being NOTICED by someone who is going to take you to a new level.Someone who by random chance goes into Tommy's Steak House and Supper Club in Witchita,KS. and see's you with your Black Les Paul held behind your head knocking the audience out with a solo. You had to be SOMEWHERE DOING SOMETHING!At that time that is what is was.The majority of my roadwork was club date rock guitar playing. That was the union definition of it and I got a lot of good scores (gigs) on it in Nashville,TN.I would do the regular show of standards with the band and the when they wanted a big high energy highlight I would sing and play and go crazy shaking my fanny all over the place and then get back in my box.Can you imagine a band going from "Satin Sheets" to "Black Dog?"I was the dude to call! You see most..er like..stars could do a startrip but could not be a supporting member of a cast where the focus was not on you.And you had to play their arrangement competently.Sing harmony for their trip. It's all good, you KNOW that they are gonna turn you loose! They may even be a little envious of you so you are an "outsider" to the group.Yet you are crucial to their memorable success...they do not want to go on without you.You do not always know when you shot is coming....yer doin' the gig and then a requst comes in....."That's Alright Mama" and the bandleader goes "OK KID!!YOUR ON-COUNT US IN!!!You have to suffer it sometimes and then a customer comes up and gives you a fifty dollar bill and goes "This is not for the band,it is for you." Well the band did split the tips with me so back at the hotel I had to ante...KID! what did you pull in?" Often times the leader would slip it back to me just the same.An extra 75 would be in my pay pack. You know even a fool can appear wise if he keeps his mouth shut.Generally I work for the leader for a gauaranteed fee plus my share of tips.So if I agree to a bone a night and get that and he makes two bones (a Bone is a hundred US dollars)I got the share I needed and agreed to,so I have no complaint. And I don't,I am more than happy with my bone.(and no right to complain either)I got paid a hundred bucks to sing and play!Who is gonna pay you a bone to sing? Maybe your Aunt Bessie eh?Don't count on it for the rent my friend.
