Well it started with just the rhythm track carrying "Heartbreak" out for an extra 3:21 that would be my les paul custom carrying the riff with David,Dewy, and Chris. The cake of the whole session had been baked and it was time for the icing to go on.Two more electric lead guitars were added, the strat for the nasty stuff, and a ric 360 12 plus an acoustic lead as well.In standard tuning. Then the dulcimer, autoharp parts were done. The dulcimer was fuzzed out.The amps used were a jupiter 42 ampeg for rhythm guitar 12 string lead with ric-o-sound and the dulcimer,The ric-o-sound was set up for the high end to go to the amp and the low end direct.I would then just swivel the trim pot to express how i felt.An ampeg lee jackson for the strat lead. The autoharp and guitarron were recorded direct. The acoustic slide is the big dick here and that came out by accident, the plan was to do it in an open c tuning but the strings just collapsed they were tuned down so low.So I switched to an open e tuning and put a capo on c on the sixth string. That is some of the finest slide work ever recorded by anyone anywhere.I do not need to know nor care what you think about it,it is the cat's ass all the way. Then I did the harmonica. The vocals were done last,we had rough guide vocals done to lay out the parts yet we wanted to sing over a final mix music production. So the tracks were completely finished before we did the vocal composties. This was to reference heartbreak hotel all the way through and than the little bit of singing on the coda of Sinners Prayer.
